Jawad Yatim
Founder, Co-Owner, President & General Manager
Massachusetts Pirates
Winning never gets old and after five years as the Founder, Co-Owner, President and General Manager of the Massachusetts Pirates, Jawad Yatim feels young as ever. Over the Pirates first five seasons Massachusetts boasts an all-time record of 53-29. The Pirates have reached the playoffs in every year of their existence and have never finished below .500. Three times they have had seasons with eleven or more victories. The Pirates won the IFL championship in 2021, making Yatim the youngest owner and operator to win a championship in professional football history. The Pirates also carried a 14-game winning streak that began in 2021 into 2022, the longest in the league since that time and finished the 2023 campaign with an undefeated record at home, as well as two separate 10 plus game winning streaks in their home arena.
Yatim has established himself as one of the premier recruiters in professional football. The Pirates have seen over 70 players get signed to the NFL, CFL. XFL, USFL, and UFL following their experience in Massachusetts since 2018, which is the most in all arena football.
Off the field, the younger Yatim has landed the largest media partnership in arena football in NESN and has overseen the securement of $2,039,000 in sponsorship revenue, with $1,240,000 in cash sponsorships deals and $799,000 in trade sponsorship deals, with various companies and organizations around the country dating back to the Pirates inaugural season in 2018. Yatim has also negotiated multiple arena lease deals and guided the organization from the NAL to the IFL, which has become the premier arena football league in the country.
