Gregory M. Weston is a Partner at BurgherGray LLP, where he advises emerging managers and other sponsors of private equity, real estate, private credit, and venture funds regarding fund formation, regulatory and transactional matters.

Greg also represents institutional investors on a variety of alternative investments. Greg has extensive experience in real estate finance and investments and has represented lenders, investors, and developers in complex transactions involving office, retail, and multifamily properties. He has also worked extensively with investors and other participants on public-private partnerships relating to transportation, energy, and other infrastructure projects and with bond issuers, underwriters, and not-for-profit organizations in a variety of taxable and tax-exempt transactions involving infrastructure, housing, and higher education.

Greg serves as general counsel to the National Association of Investment Companies and is a board member of the Real Estate Executive Council and Structured Finance Association. He is also a governor appointee to the Real Estate Board of the State of New York. Beyond his professional commitments, Greg is deeply involved in various community and nonprofit organizations. He a trustee of Democracy Preparatory New York Charter Schools, former Board President of Weston United Community Renewal, and a board member of The Bridge. His commitment to community service extends to his role on the Investment Committee for The Riverside Church.

Prior to joining BurgherGray, Greg served in prominent senior roles, including in-house positions and at AmLaw 100 firms, most recently in the role of Partner at Winston & Strawn’s New York Office. Greg received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, and a B.A. from Howard University.
