Dan Shallit
Dan Shallit, a retail development professional with over 25 years of experience, started his career with notable brands such as GNC & Macy’s prior to joining Starbucks in 1999. After ten years with Starbucks, Dan left the company to gain experience from the landlord side of the business. In 2009, he joined Acadia Realty Trust as the National VP of Leasing. While the experience was meaningful, his heart was still on the retail side of development. After a small stop at Sports Authority as Director of real estate for the east coast, Dan rejoined the Starbucks global development team in 2012. Coming back to the New York City Starbucks team, his role was to manage a team and support expansion of emerging brands and new concepts, with the most recent and notable concepts including a double drive-through concept with a dedicated mobile order express lane and opening the largest Starbucks in the US at the Empire State building.
