Since September 2023, Angele Robinson-Gaylord has served as senior vice president, Coffeehouse Development for Starbucks. In this role, she leads the real estate, construction, facilities and portfolio management teams supporting new site development and reinvestment into existing stores for the U.S. and in an advisory capacity for Canada.

Prior to joining Starbucks, Angele led the Store Development teams at Rite Aid and IKEA that oversaw their retail portfolios. At McDonald’s, she worked in the U.S. Restaurant Development division, supporting real estate issues for existing restaurants.

Angele holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and a J.D. from George Washington University School of Law. She practiced for over 15 years in the areas of litigation and commercial real estate in Washington, D.C., and Chicago. To pivot to the business side of real estate, in 2009, Angele participated in Project REAP, a market-driven education and professional development program that serves as a bridge between talented minority professionals and commercial real estate companies looking for talent.

Angele currently serves on the boards for ICSC, the ICSC Foundation, and Project REAP. She currently is the Chair of the ICSC Board of Trustees, the first Black chair in the organization’s history.

She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Travis Gaylord, a strategy and transformation executive, for twenty-seven years and they have two sons, Trent, a Senior at Morehouse College and Tyler, a rising senior in high school.
