Jamal C. Robinson is a visionary leader and the Executive Director of IMPACCT Brooklyn, a community development corporation founded in 1964. IMPACCT Brooklyn is dedicated to preserving neighborhoods and expanding opportunities for residents and small business owners in Brooklyn through a multifaceted approach that includes affordable housing development, tenant services, homeowner services and economic renewal.
With over 15 years of progressive management and leadership experience, Jamal oversees IMPACCT Brooklyn’s $6 million budget and leads an executive management team to advance the organization's strategic imperatives. His responsibilities include fostering collaboration with the board and staff, expanding revenue streams, driving advocacy and public policy efforts, ensuring fiscal integrity, and strengthening the organization's capacity to maximize its effectiveness.

Jamal's expertise is grounded in a strong background in real estate finance, development, and community development practices. Before joining IMPACCT Brooklyn, he served as a Community Development Real Estate Banker at JP Morgan Chase & Co., where he played a key role in facilitating $317 million in affordable housing construction and permanent loans across the Central U.S.

Jamal is a former U.S. Army Officer with eight years of active-duty service. His military assignments included serving as Director of Operations at the United States Military Academy (USMA), where he supervised the strategic planning and direction of 855 personnel, engineered a digital transformation technology accountability tracking system, and managed long and short-term program planning.

Jamal holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from NYU Shack Institute of Real Estate Development, a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from NYU Wagner, and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Webster University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy.
