Wilhelmena Norman-Hernandez
Wilhelmena “Mena” Norman-Hernandez is Vice President, Manager of Community Impact for ACCESS at the Community Preservation Corporation (CPC). Launched in 2020, ACCESS provides loans, investments, and technical assistance to empower historically and economically disadvantaged real estate developers.
In her role, Mena partners with CPC’s field offices to identify opportunities that expand access to both human and financial capital, helping emerging developers build capacity and bring projects to fruition. Mena joined CPC in 2012 as an Asset Management Associate in the Special Assets Division, following a career in finance roles within community-based healthcare programs. In 2015, she transitioned into CPC’s
Credit Department as a Mortgage Administrator, and in 2020 was promoted to her current leadership position.
A recognized innovator and thought leader, Mena continues to challenge industry norms and create solutions that reduce barriers for emerging developers and other underrepresented groups seeking entry into real estate development.
She studied Organizational Development and Business Leadership at New York University’s Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies.
