Robert Jefferson is the Senior Development Director for The NHP Foundation, where he acquires, develops, preserves and refinances affordable housing properties through private and public partnerships. The NHP Foundation is a non-profit affordable housing developer that has created and preserved over 18,000 units of housing in 16 states and the District of Columbia.
Prior to his role at the NHP Foundation, Robert was the Chief Real Estate Officer for IMPACCT Brooklyn. Previously, Robert was a Project Manager at Bridge Street Development Corporation and founded Merrill Jefferson Enterprises LLC, a private real estate investment company that syndicated Multi-Family Apartment investments.
Mr. Jefferson has a Corporate Finance background and has experience managing multi- billion dollar P&Ls for several Fortune 500 companies (Procter & Gamble, Walt Disney, American Express).
He is a graduate of Hampton University (BA – Accounting) and UNC – Chapel Hill (MBA – Real Estate Development). Additionally, Robert is a Project REAP (Real Estate Associates Program) alumni, and currently serves as Vice Board Chair on the Board of Directors for BAMA (Babies and Mothers Alive) a non-profit organization that serves the needs of communities in Eastern Africa.
